James Alexander
Geologist
Co-Founder
James Alexander, M.Sc., is a resource exploration-trained geologist with extensive in-field experience, specializing in geological sampling and analytical geochemistry. He's garnered numerous scientific accolades for his industry-funded master's thesis in economic geology, which introduced innovative techniques for metals exploration and improved resource targeting in gold exploration. Leveraging his resource exploration background, James offers a unique perspective on landfill evaluation, treating them as potential ore deposits. This distinctive viewpoint not only enhances LandFillter's assessment capabilities but also opens the door to innovative landfill-to-resource strategies. As Senior Geologist James oversees day-to-day operations, including research, development, outreach, and sample testing. He spearheaded the development of LandFillter's landfill evaluation prototype, aimed at quantifying the commodity value of landfill materials. James holds an MSc in Geology from Western University in London, ON, Canada, and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Queens University in Kingston, ON, Canada.
